More Minis to Love

Happy Day!
The last three sets of Distress Ink Minis are here!
(although I might just be a bit sad that we're done)
convenient
great for small spaces
easy to store
easy to pack
and
just plain
cute

Here's a look at the new sets...
tattered rose, iced spruce, bundled sage, and squeezed lemonade

Set #10 with the Gothic Layering Stencil

milled lavender, shabby shutters, festive berries, and tea dye

Set #11 with the Festive Layering Stencil

aged mahogany, brushed corduroy, pine needles, and chipped sapphire

Set #12 with the Holiday Knits Layering Stencil
Don't forget to number the back of the ink pad so sets can be put back together once the packaging is opened.
Tim has given me one of each of the new Distress Ink packs to give away on my blog.
Please leave a comment on which is your favorite pack!

I will pick 3 winners on Monday the 18th.
So be sure to come back on Monday to not only see if you won, but to check out a fun tutorial using one of the new sets.  It's just a little bit grungy.

Bet you can't guess what color I used most...
now carry on,

Carved Halloween

Back with another card made with one of the new Stampers Anonymous stamp sets.

I used Mini Distress Ink kit #8 to create a monoprint on Ranger Watercolor paper using the new Halloween Layering Stencil.  Love how the colors of this set just looks like Halloween!
I stamped the owl from the Carved Halloween set with Black Archival ink onto the monoprint.
Then stitched the monoprint to purple Core'dinations Kraft-core cardstock.
I added this little spider hanging from the top.  Love this little guy!
I also added Glossy Accents to the eyes of the owl and the back of the spider to give them a bit more detail.
Mushroom Alcohol ink was added to a Plaquette to give it more of a Halloween feel; then tied around the card with green Jute String.
I wanted to break up the monoprint just a bit so I ripped a piece of paper from an old book.  After a bit of Distress ink - Vintage Photo, I used the Distress Marker Spritzer to add speckles to the paper.  A super easy aging technique.  I also added a couple Tiny Attacher staples to keep the Jute String in place.
A little more Distress Marker Spritzer to give a background a spooky effect and were done.  Gosh I love using that Spritzer tool!

What a fun card.  Not too scary with all that color, in fact I think it's just right!

now carry on,
paula

I am in love with the butterfly....a wondrous creature you have created. Anxiously awaiting the dragonfly....
In this group I think I'll go with the Number 7 group....can't wait to play!

Just gorgeous! Yup, it looked ugly and then it was a real beauty! It's kinda like the caterpillar itself and then the gorgeous butterfly born from it? :) I LOVE SET #8. Anything orange, I am sold!

Altered Addict
You know I don't think I ever realized that the colors were sold in sets of colors that would mix well, talk about a major duh moment... I can't wait to start collecting the mini sets.... a much cheaper way to collect all the colors,

I love your butterfly, I keep meaning to buy some rock candy and never do it when I am at my craft store.
Be sure to stop by tomorrow, because I've go this going on....wonder where it is heading?
now carry on,

and the winners are...

Wow, what a response to the giveaway!  Thank you to all who stopped by One Lucky Day to post a comment about the new mini distress ink's.  I love how compact they are, great for travel and space savings on my desk (which I could use right now).  Don't forget, they really are the perfect size ink pad for the new mini blending tool.  Now to find the time to print the downloadable labels from Ranger!

Congratulations to the winners!

besides been completely adorable, the minis are so much more convenient to take to weekly card classes than the larger distress pads. And the mini blending tool is awesome, perfect to use on layering stamps as you can scootch just into the area you want, and not go over the stencil. And besides, pretty much anything Tim puts out, I need it... :)

these little cuties will fit in my ink box ( oh well...I will make them fit) I love the colors and that they're stackable.

Queen Bee
I just love their itty bitty cuteness!

Be sure to check out Richele Christensen's blog today to see her tutorial using two of the new Mini Distress Ink sets.  I love that Distress Glitter bunny (seriously, why don't I have that die?)  Richele is also giving away the new sets and you still have time to enter so hop on over (no pun intended, lol).

now carry on (and I will see you back here soon!)
