ReplyDeleteI have fallen in love with "jelly rolls"! So much so that on my jewelry/silversmithing side I taught a class in soldering metal strips together, then cutting and resoldering to make chevrons, checkerboards, even a "hashtag" design! ReplyDeleteLove this. Does Joanns still carry Tims fabric? I was in there last week hoping to find some and I couldn't even find his smiling face up on the sign as a signature artist. Wassup? No fabric in site... Hmmm
ReplyDeletewow - that's super cool! i'd love to get my hands on some of that fabric - not yet here - some of the previous collections are starting to appear but nothing new as yet. sigh. the hazardous of living in the great white north. maybe i'll take your idea and do it in grunge board and/or paper for a wall hanging... hmmm... ideas are brewing- THANKS!
ReplyDeleteOh Miss Paula,
ReplyDeleteWhat fun we could have together. I think I will coffee dye my fabric after I have torn it into stripes. I will sew it together with decorative stitches in black and burn the edges. Attach a photo transfer of my Dad in his football uniform and add some of his varsity patches. Finishing it off with an old distressed frame. Yes. That is what I would do if I were to win!!! Thank you for the fabulous idea.
OMG--A table runner and place mats, Paula--Totally :)
