I used Mini Distress Ink kit #8 to create a monoprint on Ranger Watercolor paper using the new Halloween Layering Stencil. Love how the colors of this set just looks like Halloween!
I stamped the owl from the Carved Halloween set with Black Archival ink onto the monoprint.
Then stitched the monoprint to purple Core'dinations Kraft-core cardstock.
I added this little spider hanging from the top. Love this little guy!
I also added Glossy Accents to the eyes of the owl and the back of the spider to give them a bit more detail.
Mushroom Alcohol ink was added to a Plaquette to give it more of a Halloween feel; then tied around the card with green Jute String.
I wanted to break up the monoprint just a bit so I ripped a piece of paper from an old book. After a bit of Distress ink - Vintage Photo, I used the Distress Marker Spritzer to add speckles to the paper. A super easy aging technique. I also added a couple Tiny Attacher staples to keep the Jute String in place.
A little more Distress Marker Spritzer to give a background a spooky effect and were done. Gosh I love using that Spritzer tool!
What a fun card. Not too scary with all that color, in fact I think it's just right!
now carry on,
paula
