ReplyDeleteMy favourite Memory is our 1st Christmas as parents and realising that the magic had come back to the season.
ReplyDeleteOoooh! What an awesome prize!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite memory of Christmas is the year I received a big stuffed polar bear and a little table with chairs, just the size for me and my bear to have a tea party. I enjoyed both of those gifts for years!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite memory was getting a "Ginny" doll for Christmas complete with accessories!!! I guess that shows my age!!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite memory of Christmas is my honeymoon in Paris! I got married on December 11, 1999 and it was really wonderful! I have a dream for another Christmas: see New York! Barbarayaya
ReplyDeleteMy favorite memory was the gift of a Ginny doll with a wardrobe of clothes made by my Grandma Faye! I still have the doll AND the clothes!! :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite memory is coming home Christmas eve night from my Aunt's house with my family and there would be a candy cane shaped container hanging on the mail box filled with green and red M&M's .. one for me and one for my brother. I still smile when I see them in the store at Christmas time.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite christmas memory was when we were kids and getting a puppy a few days before christmas. Ted lived to a very old age and was the family's most wonderful gift. Lots of very fond memories.

ReplyDeleteMy fave Christmas memory would be finally returning home after a long stay at the hospital---I was 14 at the time...
ReplyDeletewhen i was really little, like 5, all I wanted was a truck….now this was back in the 60's, when girls didn't get trucks, they got dolls, and let's just say, my parents were not considered progressive: there was no way I was getting that truck. Come christmas with my favorite aunt (looking back, she was soooo ahead of the times in just about everything) and there it was, a truck. not just any truck, a battery operated tow truck. I still remember the red dress I was wearing and the little curled bob I had (or maybe it's just eh pictures making me remember) and playing with that truck for ages!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely Christmas giveaway - thank you for the chance to win... I've left my memory over with your fabulous Configurations ornaments - hope that's right!

ReplyDeleteThe wonder of opening the door and seeing the presents round the tree.
ReplyDeleteWow what a fabulous giveaway, thanks for the opportunity to win, I've followed your instructions.
ReplyDeleteGoing to a nearby beach, Wrightsville Beach, and seeing Santa Claus come to a park at a dock in a fire truck. He would give the kids a net stocking with candy in it. Anything that involved candy was fun!
ReplyDeleteOpening a present on Christmas Eve, it was always pajamas. My two sisters and i had very fine hair and on Christmas morning our hair was always sticking up but we looked good in our matching pj's that our mom had sewn.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas memory was seeing the smiles on my children's faces on Christmas morning. I so wish they were little again.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with JPScraps above. My all-time favorite Christmas memory is seeing the smiling faces of my kids when they find out Santa did stop by and leave lots of presents!
ReplyDeleteOnce when I was little my older brother gave me a shaggy yellow dog stuffed animal. It makes me smile thinking about it.
ReplyDeleteComing downstairs, turning the corner and there is our tree, lit with all the presents under.
ReplyDeleteoooh what lovely Christmas goodies-hop to win it!!!
ReplyDeleteThe year I was 6 and all of my aunts, uncles, cousins came home. My grandparents were so happy to have us all and the kids had the best time playing.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas memory is all of the years that we spent at my Aunt Phyls as a family. Most of those relatives have passed away but I have all of the memories in my heart and mind like they happened yesterday. My Aunt Phyl had walls that spun around to reveal hidden rooms. It was an amazing house full of love and laughter.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice thing to plan for the week! Thanks for thinking of all of us crafters during the holidays! HO HO HO!! XOXO-S

ReplyDeleteWhen I was a kid I wanted to be a detective and read a lot of detective stories; so for Christmas my parents would write me letters as if from Santa which would prompt where a present could be - each letter had a mystery to solve, and if you did it right, it would lead you to a place where another letter would wait for you (with a little gift), and this letter would have a riddle again, and would lead to another letter and a bigger present, and the last letter would have the trickiest mystery to solve and would lead to the main Christmas present - oh how i LOVED the excitement and the happiness when I finally solved every mystery and got to the biggest present - the process was as great as the gift itself. My parents are incredible=)
ReplyDeletewe set up our boys Little Tykes log cabin in the middle of the living room and the joy on their faces!!! they spent the whole day in and out and on top of it!! what a fun, fun, fun day!!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas memory us defintily from the year I was pregnant with my seven child. Due Jan 2. Being pregnant at Christmasmade that a very spiritual Christmas. I could relate to Mary and her experience. I gave birth on the 23rd of Dec. It was an amazing Christmas. If you asked my son who was 3 at the time, why people celebrate Christmas, his answer came quickly : Because we are having a baby. :) In his eyes everyone was sharing our joy. So sweet. Thank you got making me remember.
ReplyDeleteThat should be second child, not seven. :)
DeleteMy parents bought a farm about three hours from our home. We spent christmas vacation there when I was in second grade. Some people from a church came and asked my mom if I could play Mary in the Christmas pageant. I guess because I had long brown hair. It was magical. The rehearsals were fun. The night was like many pageants... Children being themselves playing the different roles and adults smiling and laughing at us all. They surprised us with big net stockings stuffed with oranges, nuts, and candy canes. Magical...
ReplyDeleteI used to love to lay under the Christmas tree when I was a kid and just enjoy the lights!
ReplyDeleteI remember waking up very early one Christmas morning, like 4am, and finding a barbie townhouse sitting in front of the tree! My parents told me it was way to early to get up so I had to go back to my room and try and sleep, right like that was going to happen! I then had to act surprised when I came back down after everyone was up which I was able to do! I had that townhouse for years.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a kid, I was the only child at Christmas, that was ok at the time but I missed the "action" around me. When I moved to the States many, many years later we had Christmas Eve at my MIL's trailer with 10 children and 10 adults in the tiny space. I even remember the scents all around me from the oven, the minimalistic tree etc. The best Christmas ever!
ReplyDeleteMy most favorite memory of Christmas is spending time in the kitchen with my mom learning to make Tamales. She has been gone from this earth for sixteen years. Taken from us by cancer at a young age. Today I made Tamales and the memories flowed along with the tears but greatful that she taught me to cook.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite memory is the year both my daughters were home and my oldest carried in my twin grandsons....what fun! I did not open presents... forgot about mine was having such a good time!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite Christmas memory is from my childhood. The tradition was that Santa brings the Christmas Tree also and I loved the moment of discovering the Christmas Tree in my room. The magic of how Santa broght it and how quickly did he put the ornaments on it.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas memory is of my daughters' Christmases when they were young. "Santa" brought all of the presents and filled up the base of the tree and would track snow and ash from the fireplace to the tree, to the kitchen for cookies and milk, and sometimes to a fun place like the garage (when they got their pedal car jeep
ReplyDeleteI thank you for this special time of taking a few minutes to reflect on Christmas Past.
ReplyDeleteDuring the hustle bustle we sometimes forget to take these moments. Growing up as a child and believing in Santa was the most wonderful time of year. I remember one Christmas Eve we got ready and drove off to church down the snowy roads and had our program acting out the Christmas Story and my two sisters and I sang in the choir. It was so fun with a party after with lots of goodies we didn't normally get to eat often. We went home to find that Santa had come while we were away. My mom said he must of been so busy he had to leave our gifts early and we shared Christmas on Christmas Eve. All three of us girls got dolls that we wanted and I still have a "vintage" photo of it. Blessings!
My favorite memory is my dad setting up wooden reindeer on his lawn and ours. One year a friend of his tried to kidnap the deer. I saw someone stealing our deer and yelled. As I jumped up to stop this person, my frail father pushed me out of the way and beat me to the door. It was one of his friends, pulling a trick on him! We laughed about that for years. Di@Cottage-Wishes
ReplyDeleteYou so sneaky! Just sayin!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas memory is the year my 3 girls received a dollhouse from santa! I had spent the entire fall building and assembling the house. Santa covered it with a sheet and made them guess what it was in the morning...they were SURE it was a parrot!! LOL!!! What fun!!!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness..a favorite Christmas memory. There are so many. The one that stands out the most is when Alex was in the ICN and he took his first bottle on Christmas eve, up till then he had been fed through a tube. The funnest on is walking in the snow with my dad when I was about 4 and Christmas shopping on "old downtown main street" for my mom :)
ReplyDeleteFabulous give-a-way!
Merry Christmas!
It would have to be the year that my 8-month old poodle got lost. We looked all over the neighborhood and it was very cold that year. The next day we put an ad in the paper and received a call that a family had taken her in and was hoping that she did not belong to anyone. We were so grateful that she was safe and warm and returned to us.
ReplyDeleteOne favorite Christmas memory? There are many -- the first Christmas as parents, the first Christmas with each of our kids, the first Christmas with each grandchild, the Christmas we gave each of our kids a scrapbook of the lives prior to growing up and getting married. That year each child treasured their scrapbook, and two even had tears in their eyes over the memories.
ReplyDeleteThis is so awesome, Paula! So many goodies!!
ReplyDeleteEach year is special and full of nice memories... when you have kids, it is always so much fun! This year it was really nice to see my youngest's face when he saw (big smile) the tree with the lights on... we did it the night before so they can work on the ornaments the next day. You are so generous! So many fabulous goodies. I'd love to win them. :) Happy Holidays!
ReplyDeleteMy mother knitting barbie doll clothes for my sister and I. I still have them 40 years latter
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice up the ante package. I left my favorite memory comment where the link took me, Hope I did the right thing. Thanks for having this giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI have been blessed with so many wonderful Christmas memories that it is difficult to choose just one, but one Christmas season that will never be forgotten is the December ice storm that hit 5 years ago. We lost our power for 2 weeks, my girls were home from school for three weeks, and my DH who works for a utility company worked countless extra hours. But through it all, we had each other, we had the ability to stay warm, dry and fed, we gathered with neighbors at the shelter set up at our village elementary school, helping to feed emergency personnel and utility workers, and many wonderful memories were made. The best part was having our power come back on at noon time on Christmas Eve. Magical memories! Thanks for the prompt to reminisce!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas memory was when I met my little sister for the first time. I was living in a different country and finally got to meet her when she was two years old and I was eight. She had her hair curled up in two pony tails and a pink puffy lacy dress. We are very close to this day.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite Christmas memories was when our son and daughter were both in college, and penniless, they dressed up and had their picture taken, sitting on Santa's knee. I will always treasure it!
ReplyDeleteMy most cherished Christmas memory is the year my parents had a friend dressed as Old St. Nick pull a horse drawn sleigh through our yard in the early hours of Christmas morning. It was pure magic. In my heart, I still believe.
ReplyDeleteWaking up when I was a little girl on Christmas morning, looking out and seeing fresh snow everywhere and everything outside looking like a Winter Wonderland. Somehow the snow outside made the magic of the morning inside seem surreal.
ReplyDeleteMy biggest memory of Christmas was my Families first Christmas in Arizona, after moving there from Massachusetts,we drove a little over two hours to a Lodge in the mountains to have snow and colder weather. Six of us shared one room, we aged from parents to 4 children,27-12 yr old. We had so much fun and only got one gift each that where fun gifts that made each one laugh when we opened them. the food was terrible but we found snacks at a small gas station. we drove to snow and had lots of fun playing together thank you for letting me share
ReplyDeleteOne of my favourite Christmas memories is when my husband and I baked and baked all kinds of cookies together to take with us when we went to our families homes. We had so much fun working together in the kitchen and listening to Christmas music, We even made these really big gingerbread men that we individually wrapped to take to his sisters house where his large family were enjoying the day together. Everyone was thrilled with their cookies and it added to an already special day.
ReplyDeleteNow it feels like the Christmas season..I looked through your blog (for the zillionth time) and got a lot of inspiration to get going on some Christmas projects! I love to browse through your posts.
ReplyDeleteHope you and yours have a wonderful Christmas and Exciting New Year!
My favorite Christmas was when I received what would be my last doll. Mom had made additional clothing for her, and I just loved that. I would also love to receive anything Tim Holtz. My favorite crafting memory is taking a class from Tim in Cincinnati.
