Seasonal Impressions - 3

We are wrapping up the week with one more idea using the Kraft Core Seasonal Impressions.   Paula is right, you can't go wrong with gift cards....but when giving them it's all about the presentation!  Here's a quick idea making a tag into a pocket for your gift cards.  It can be attached to another gift or given on it's own.

Start with a sheet of the Kraft Core Seasonal Impressions.  Cut pieces 7 1/2 x 4", you can get 4 pieces from 1 12x12 sheet.  Fold 1" from the end as shown.

Using the Tim Holtz Alterations die - Tag and book plate

...lay the paper over the area to cut face down, making sure the the folded part at the bottom is inside the die line.

Up close detail

This allows for the folded edge to stay uncut while the other three sides are cut to the tag shape.

This is how it should look.
(Use scalloped edge die or scalloped scissors to edge tag flap.)

Turn over and sand paper using the Sanding Block.  Set aside.

Now cut another tag in coordinating printed paper.  This will be the front side of your pocket.  I used the Christmas papers from Idea-ology Seasonal Paper Stacks.  Trim 1" from the bottom of tag.

Sew the two tag pieces together matching the end with grommet hole.

Include Paper Twine in the seam.  Twine will tie in a bow to hold flap down.

Apply eyelet and reinforcer.  Ink edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

Insert gift card and tie flap shut.

Ink ribbon with distress stain to make it look old.  Include mini pine cones and token into bow.

The back side looks cute with the sanded Kraft-Core Paper.

Tim posted a video with more ways to use this fun paper....check it out here.

Have a great weekend!
