Back again today with a super easy tutorial for gift card envelopes using the
Seasonal Impressions Cardstock.
I used the sizzix alterations pocket envelope die to cut the pre-embossed paper.
I sanded the surface with my sanding grip to reveal the words in the paper. Then used the narrow 1/8" Wonder tape to close up the envelope, leaving the large flap open on one end. Easy!
Add an eyelet to the center of the large flap.
My thought was to use these for gift cards (I seem to buy more and more of them every year) so I cut manilla paper to fit the envelope. I stamped the card with embossing ink and the small snowflakes from the Stampers Anonymous "Mini Holidays" stamp set. Then quickly covered the stamp image with embossing powder.
And dried it with a heat tool.
I used my blending tool to add Bundled Sage DI.
Then a bit of Frayed Burlap.
I rounded the corners of the card and sprayed it with Perfect Pearls Mist in Perfect Pearl. That reads like a typo but the color is...Perfect Pearl!
That gave the card a nice little shimmer.
Edge the card with Vintage Photo to finish it off. Now it is ready for a gift card to be added with a bit of double stick tape.
I dyed some crinkle ribbon using mowed lawn and gathered twigs and water. It looks very bright when wet (and it is), but once dry... it mellows out.
I used the Sizzix Alterations Seasonal Noel die to cut the number 25 from the Idea-ology Mirrored. I love this stuff...just like a mirror (hard to photograph though). It cuts easily with the Alterations steel rule dies.
I wrapped the envelope with the ribbon and added the 25 which is sticky on the back. The only other embellishment is the chitchat word,
delight and a few pieces of the "Festive Greenery" decorative strip.
I did not do a step out tutorial for this pocket but I can tell what I used...
Band - Christmas time stamp, fired brick DI, embossing powder, vintage photo DI and bundled sage DI,
tonic edge distresser.
Deer - manilla cardstock covered with vintage music paper, then die cut using the sizzix movers and shapers die - "mini reindeer", chitchat word, foliage metal flower and brad.
Embellishments - "Festive Greenery" decorative strip...some I added Platinum glitter, some ink.
NOTE: The band is made to slip off the pocket so all embellishments had to be glued directly to the band not the pocket.
I like how these turned out using the seasonal impression cardstock...makes it look like you worked really hard and yet these were easy.
December is sometimes a hard month to find the time to do a lot of
crafting projects so I am glad these are done and ready to go...lets see, I need an Amazon card and a Target card....
cheers!
