Some BIG things happening this week.....
I would like to introduce you to my newest grandson....meet Parker
We love him and feel so blessed to have him.
The above photo is a little deceiving. We needed something next to him in the photo to give you a better perception of the true size. He kept us waiting and arrived 12 days late. We traditionally have had some big babies in our family, but he surprised us all weighing in at....(brace yourself) 9 lbs. 14 oz. and 21 inches long. I didn't really think he looked that big until I saw him in the hospital nursery next a set of twins....they were 4-5 lbs. each.
Hopefully all the newborn size clothes can be exchanged since he skipped that size all together.
The proud grandma's
So grateful for BIG blessings!

ReplyDeleteCongratuations Deb, that is awesome news. He is a beautiful baby. My kids were 6 lbs so I cannot imagine being mom to a 10 pounder but as midwife I've delivers babies that big and it is hilarious how big they look next to more average weight babes.
ReplyDeleteOh the joy! Congratulations and good luck and good health to Parker.

This is exciting big news. I am happy for you all. One of our grandsons is named Parker too. This reminds me of what a blessing a new baby is.
ReplyDeleteI'd say that was one lucky day for you grandma! Being grandma is the best ever, but mine are now 11 & 16 - they grow up even faster than your own kids!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!
ReplyDeleteHooray for baby boys! And this one is gorgeous! Being a grandmother is more fun than I had imagined! Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy...and give him a sweet kiss on top of his head every chance you get!

ReplyDeleteCongratulations! He is beautiful!
ReplyDelete24 years ago we picked the name Parker for our son people hadn't heard of it to often now your beautiful grandson has a strong peace keeper name. By the way what is his middle name. oh the fun you are going to be having
ReplyDeleteSo special.....enjoy every moment with him.
ReplyDeleteWhat a darling baby - love the photo! Our newest granddaughter came into the world weighing 9 lbs. 7 oz.! She, too, bypassed a lot of newborn sizes! We have twins coming as well - right now each baby is just under 3 lbs. - hope they fatten up in the next two months! Congratulations to everyone!
ReplyDeleteCongrats! My son (26 years ago) was 2 weeks late and was 10 pds 9.5 ouces and 22 inches long so I know what you mean! The nurses put him in a bassinet in the window with a 5 pd preemie beside him! LOL He is now 6 foot 3 and a MD surgical resident at a major national hospital. We skipped to the 9-12 month clothing! Be prepared for people to ALWAYS think he is older because he looks larger. Good luck and best wishes.
