The New Girl in Town:  design*lab

It's a good day!  I finally got to visit a new store that just opened last week.  

"design*lab" 

Located in downtown Mesa and in the same building with "Found".  It is a great place to find unique gifts, decorating items, assorted do da's and lots of inspiration.   Everything is displayed to perfection....I must have walked the store a half a dozen times and still discovered new things each time through.
The store was was opened by Caroline DeCesare who also has the fabulous design studio upstairs in the same building....and sister to Allison Tyler Jones, talented photographer who just happens to be in the studio right right around the corner.

Here's a little tour....

Containers - loved the boxes, metal baskets and trays

Love all the industrial shelving, carts and display pieces.

Lot of cards, pencils, pens, notebooks, tags, etc.

This was so fun, "The Periodic Table of Design Elements"....and check out the labeled bottles!

Notice how they covered all the books in white paper and labeled the spine...so good!

One last thing.....the bathroom....frame wallpaper with iconic chair in the frames

This is Jen, an old friend and manager of "design*lab".  She is ultra talented and does all the cool lettering you will see around the store!
