7gypsies latest and greatest- "Off the Wall" Collection

So if you had a chance to browse through the "look book" from the last post you will have seen the "Off the Wall" Collection.  The paper is really layered with a little bits of grunge, text, images.  It comes in 12 x 12 as well as 8 x 8 and 6 x 6 paper packs.  The first paper, "Balloons" is the one I got to work with from this collection (that project will be posted later in the week).

New shape for tags
New paper tape...love the full color!
I think I am going to need more than one package of this!
This fabulous project was made by gypsy design team member, Ann Mabee.  Ann cut book board into pieces to create this darling little village.  She used paper in 8 x 8 size to cover the houses then used lots of 7gypsies metal pieces from book knobs to charms to gears to embellish. Oh, and lots of numbers from this rubbing.
This little house is my favorite with the 7gypsies optical lens and the Victoriana rubbing.
Ann said, "The village ranges in size from 5" tall to 6 3/4" tall.   A couple of "secrets" for assembling....I not only glued the corners, but I added corner folded chipboard inside on every corner.  I just cut chipboard a little shorter than each wall and about one inch wide.  I scored it and folded in half and glued it in each corner to reinforce.  Also, I cut a floor for each building and snugged it up just inside each house so it was flush with the bottoms.  This helps keep the walls square and keeps them from getting wonky."

We will be back tomorrow with the second collection of papers, "Global".

GOOD THINGS
Oh, and one last thing for today.  Remember, Cori Dantini that I talked about in this post?  She is now back from traveling and her Etsy shop is open for viewing.  I hope you will stop by.  I already bought this one this morning.
cheers!

  1. REALLY love this new line. I hope the ONE scrapbooking store near me that's left (and by near me I mean a 45 min. drive away) orders it. I don't scrapbook, but I use papers like a crazy person in my art.

Will have to go see what's new in Cori's shop. I am always afraid to look because it might mean I'll want another tattoo! *laughs*
