Tis the season of loveliness...

My friend Nancy and I took a drive up the coast to our favorite little spot, Ruby Rose.  Sometimes I go there to just get inspired by the displays...and today was no exception.  But today was all about COLOR.  The colors RED and GREEN to be exact.
It all started with this window...

don't you just love the curtains Stephanie just put up for Christmas?
They are made from old wool blankets.  If I would have had a place in mind for these in my house I would have bought them!  So Festive!

After being drawn in by the fabulous color of the red and cream wool curtains, the color GREEN takes center stage with succulents and fresh reindeer moss.  I really have never thought of using succulents at Christmas time, but the varying degrees of green were so fabulous in the old wire basket with the reindeer moss sticking out the sides.  I could see this in a long metal trough on my kitchen table or along the mantle.

How about one of these fabulous bay leaf wreaths for your front door?

I could use this sign in my kitchen this last month (I am not kidding either).
love the old baking rack and of course the old silver too!

Well, I purchased a few things; one large frame for a future project, a tiny cut glass bottle, a stack of small plates which I don't really need, yet the colors were quite lovely I just couldn't pass them up (and it was $5 for the whole stack).
                                                                                                  What a lucky day.
